Family Connection Events & Parenting Education
Pioneer Relief Nursery provides parent education through home visits, parent connection events, and parent education classes. Our organization focuses on providing realistic and actionable tools that can help caregivers feel confident in their parenting. Our program uses evidence-based and trauma informed parent education curriculums including Conscious Discipline and/or Triple P Positive Parenting Program.
Parent Connection Events
Pioneer Relief Nursery Family Connection Events are hosted monthly and are open to the community. Our Family Connection Events include different topics and activities but generally have the following:
- Parenting Education with childcare
- Positive connection building activities for caregivers and children
- Dinner & Dessert
- Activity for caregivers and children
- PRN Staff available to answer questions and guide activity as needed
- Fun incentives and prizes
Parent Education Classes
Pioneer Relief Nursery hosts parent education classes at different times of the year. These events are offered to families at Pioneer Relief Nursery and, if space allows, open to members of the community. Our parent education classes can have different formats, but always include:
- Evidence-based parent education
- Childcare provided
- Meal or snack
- All necessary materials (notebooks, pens, bookmarks, etc.)
- PRN Staff available to answer questions and provide support
- Fun incentives and prizes
