Growing Together: Pioneer Relief Nursery Launches New Garden Project with AWS Grant
We’re thrilled to announce an exciting new chapter at Pioneer Relief Nursery—a garden project made possible through generous support from an AWS: Garden Club grant. This innovative initiative will bring hands-on gardening experiences to the children in our programs, nurturing growth, learning, and well-being from the ground up.
The new garden space will serve as an outdoor classroom where children can explore, discover, and connect with nature. Through planting, watering, and harvesting, our young learners will develop a sense of responsibility, teamwork, and pride in their accomplishments. The project offers opportunities to learn about nutrition, healthy eating, and the natural world, all while having fun in a safe and supportive environment.

Thanks to the AWS: Garden Club grant, Pioneer Relief Nursery can provide children with meaningful experiences that support their development in unique and impactful ways. Gardening activities foster fine motor skills, encourage curiosity, and promote social and emotional growth. Additionally, the fresh produce grown will supplement healthy snacks for the children and their families.
We are grateful for the support from AWS and look forward to watching our garden—and our children—grow and thrive together. Stay tuned for updates as the project blossoms!
